Shopping Guide: Glass Lamps

The trend of glass or crystal lamps popped up about three to four years ago and seems to be sticking around.  I use the term "crystal" loosely here.  The style originated with actual crystal construction but as the trend infiltrated the retail markets crystal became glass and even plastic.  I still love the look though and am highlighting three options at several price points and quality.  Only one will be named a VALUE... read on and let me know your favorite!

Shopping Guide: Zebra Print Rug

I am starting a new feature on this blog called SHOPPING GUIDE!!! In it I will highlight one particular product and show three (yes, three!!!) shopping options in three price ranges, either $, $$ or $$$. Then I would also like to highlight which of those I think is the best value. By value, I mean what is best to spend your money on - haven't we all bought something inexpensive before and found out that it really is "cheap" - so it will highlight the best way to spend YOUR dollars!!

So the first Shopping Guide is for a Zebra Print rug. It is true that animal prints never really go out of style, but let's be clear folks a whole ROOM decorated in animal prints is a no-no. Animal prints should be used sparingly and they can have a very dramatic contemporary look that can become classic over time.

Okay, so this last one is obviously an "honorable" mention.  But how gorgeous is that?

VALUE: I would put the greatest value in the West Elm rug, although it is not the least expensive it has the highest quality for materials and would likely last the longest and wear the longest.
