Bathroom Lighting...

I mentioned in an earlier post how we plan to do some remodeling around our home this year... mostly cosmetic changes here and there. But one of the projects is redoing the bathrooms.... all four of them.

Four you say? Yes, four. And we don't live in a very big house... the builder must have been intent on not having to walk any where to use the restroom... or look in the mirror. it's convenient for the most part except that at any given moment you have to have at least four rolls of toilet paper in the house. (I'm assuming I'm not the only one who gets down to one roll before buying more?) And it is four toilets to scrub.

My plan was to demo one at a time, since there are plenty others to use and do the whole bathroom in one swoop. However, the lights in the master bath are on the fritz. They are burning out bulbs left and right and I have a sinking feeling it is due to their poor quality and maybe their ugliness. Either or. Any way, seems those are going to have to be replaced earlier than thought so that we don't run into any electrical issues.

I have vague ideas of what each bathroom will look like, but no exact samples picked out, etc. So I am found in the predicament of having to pick out lighting first and it has to fit in the current ugliness of the bathroom and the future loveliness of the bathroom. Here is a couple that I like...

This light is going for $44.82 (from $74.70)... we'll need two of them, one for above each sink. It seems like this style could fit easily into what I have planned, classic modern is how I would describe the look I am going for.
Transglobe 1 Light Wall Sconce

This one is very similar in price at $41.50... with a little bit more curve to it's lines.
Aura Wall Sconce by Maxim Lighting

This last one is very simple, the faux alabaster element adds some textural detail, but the price is great at only $29.88 (from $59.99) at LampsPlus.com - America's Lighting Superstore!

While they are not the most exciting lights ever... they fit in the budget, which was less than $50 each. Which one do you like best?
